I love what I do. I have been programming and designing with all my passion and energy for ten years. I have studied areas varying from presentation and design, databases, low level software engineering, and graphical user interfaces. I am a perfectionist, that means things have to look beautiful inside and out. I work professionally as a web developer but I take on freelance and personal projects in web design, development and software.
Web Design
I specialise in pixel perfect designs. I love clean and minimal design with precise geometry and elegant typography. Every client and every business has different needs of course so flexibility is a must! I redesign many of my clients logos too. Depending on the specs I also give the client the admin tools to content manage their sites as well as the option of free hosting.
Web Development
I am much more than just a web designer, in fact much of my time is spent programming and I have extensive experience with going a deeper than modifying someone else's code. I specialise in PHP and ASP.net MVC 3 coding, don't worry if you don't know what that means!
Portable Device Ready and Mobile Apps
All of my websites are written to strict modern web standards. They display as they should on all modern browsers and mobile devices. I also offer the option of making a secondary presentation layer which only loads on mobile devices delivering a customised look and feel for those smaller screens. I also program in Java and Silverlight so I can develop apps for Android or Windows Phone 7 for example.
Software Engineering
I started programming in C++ almost 10 years ago. Software programming is my big passion apart from design. I have considerable experience writing low level DLLs, disassembling and binary modification. I also absolutely love WPF and think it's a godsend for writing GUI applications.
Database Design
I am not an expert with complex and large database design. That is why I have a friend, a former senior Barclays database developer, who does these kinds of specialised and highly cutom databases in MySQL or MSSQL. Infact, Jon is rated in the top 3% of all database designers on stackoverflow.
